0N – LET ME INTRODUCE TO YOU…

Chad FehrChad Fehr works for the University of Iowa as a Hall Coordinator. He spends a lot of time working with college students on their personal development and has a focus on spiritual development. has presented at multiple regional and national conference on topics that address spiritual development and religion among college students. He identifies himself as a non-denominational Christian and currently attends an Evangelical church. In his free time Chad loves to watch/attend baseball games (Go CARDS!!!), read suspense novels (not really, more like The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and other really strange books), workout (refuses to accept that he is getting older), watch good movies (yes, Disney Cartoons are considered good movies), and of course loves watching The Family Guy. He is currently engaged and will be getting married on 5-26-07.

0C – LET ME INTRODUCE TO YOU…

Kevin Muniz is a Roman Catholic seminarian for the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois .  Unless Bishop George Lucas decides otherwise, he will be set to be ordained to the priesthood in May of 2008 (Deacon in 2007).  In ministry, he spends most of his time leading parish Bible studies and speaking and teaching to the youth of the diocese.  For fun, he loves to do anything active such as lift weights, run, play basketball, baseball, or any other sport.  Most of all, he loves to talk about the faith and is known not to shut up too easily (with qualities like that, it is surprising that he is not a Protestant minister – haha).

WELCOME TO THE DIALOGUE

In this blog, I am excited to introduce a dialogue amongst Christians of different faith communities and churches.  In this dialogue, there will be a Catholic seminarian, a Methodist minister, a Baptist minister, Presbyterian minister, and a person of Non-Denomination (and possibly more as time goes on).

At different times, a new topic will be introduced which each member of the group can share the view of their particular church on that topic with objections or comments on the views of others.  It is encouraged on this blog for each member of the dialogue and the readers of this blog to respectfully ask questions and state disagreements to answers and comments of the dialogue.  Only through stating questions and disagreements can we more fully understand each other’s faith.

Also, it is worth noting that the topic may not always be regarding something that divides the different churches, but it may be a topic that the different churches are united on.  Just as there are many things that we disagree on, there are much more that we do agree on.  This dialogue is to be a forum for both, because the whole objective of this is to learn from each other, learn more about God’s Will for our lives, and hopefully someday be truly unified into one.  Just as the brothers Jacob and Esau were once divided and then reconciled, I too hope that someday all of my separated brethren in Christ can soon be reconciled and follow the words of Paul.

1 Corinthians 1:10  10 Now I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you be in agreement and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same purpose.
